Aviation
Support across the mission spectrum.
SKALD delivers air capability as a working whole: the aircraft, the crews, the sensors, the maintenance and the plan that keeps them flying. We support governments, law enforcement, search and rescue organisations and industry where aviation is not a convenience but the way the mission happens.
Access to the aircraft comes on terms that fit the programme. We provide rotary and fixed wing aircraft on lease and on lease-to-purchase, matched to the task and the budget, so a capability can stand up quickly and move to ownership in time. Around the airframe sit the same foundations every operation needs: operations and import support, certified maintenance, and mission-qualified pilots, sensor operators and crews.
Our aviation practice covers three areas. Airlift and air charter moves people and cargo, rotary and fixed wing, from crew changes to strategic lift. Aerial ISR and survey turns aircraft into information, through sensor integration, mission crews and analysis. Aerial delivery and resupply reaches the places roads do not.
-
Moving people and cargo where infrastructure runs out.
SKALD provides airlift solutions tailored to the task rather than the timetable: rotary and fixed-wing, for governments, humanitarian operations and industry in demanding environments. Aircraft are provided through our operations network and certified partner operators, matched to load, range and terrain.
Rotary-wing operations. Passenger and crew movement, underslung and sling-load cargo, heavy uplift into unprepared sites, offshore and coastal flight services, powerline and infrastructure patrol, and helicopter aeromedical configuration for casualty movement.
Fixed-wing & charter. Turboprop and jet charter from short-field strips to intercontinental sectors, cabin sizes from liaison aircraft to delegation transport, full flight planning, permits and handling, plus fixed-wing aeromedical fit where distance demands it.
Cargo & strategic airlift. Tactical and strategic cargo lift, outsize and specialised loads, regulated and dangerous-goods cargo handled to applicable international standards, with customs clearing and documentation through an established agent network and continuous coordination from consignment to delivery.
Airlift rarely stands alone: it connects to our aerial delivery, field medical and project logistics services, so movement, sustainment and care arrive as one plan.

Aircraft that come back with answers.
An aerial survey or surveillance capability is not an aircraft with a camera. It is a chain: the right platform, the right sensors integrated and certified, crews who can fly the mission, and analysis that turns collection into decisions. SKALD delivers the chain, not the parts.
What we deliver. Platform selection and acquisition, fixed and rotary-wing, across short, medium and long-range classes. Certified modification and integration of electro-optical, infrared and specialist sensors. Mission crews: experienced pilots, sensor operators and mission commanders. Maintenance, spares and engineering support that keep availability real. Mission reporting tailored to the client's standards, geographic information products, and analysis workflows, with live data and video downlink where the mission is time-critical.
Where it works. Maritime surveillance and fisheries protection. Disaster assessment and search-and-rescue. Displacement monitoring in humanitarian operations. Infrastructure, pipeline and powerline surveillance. Topographic and agricultural survey. Offshore energy support.
Said plainly: many airborne sensors are controlled items. Supplier-country export licensing and end-user documentation are built into the engagement from the first conversation. We treat compliance as part of the capability, not an obstacle to it.
Beyond delivery, we train the analysts and operators who exploit the system, because a sensor that nobody fully uses is expense, not capability.

Reaching the places roads cannot.
When flooding cuts a region off, when a team operates beyond the last airstrip, when relief must arrive today, aerial delivery is the difference between a plan and help. SKALD provides airdrop and airborne resupply of critical material: water, food, medical supplies, rescue equipment and the stores that keep an operation alive.
We deliver it as a system, not a sortie: load planning and packing, rigging, drop-zone assessment, delivery and recovery, matched to the aircraft available and, for humanitarian clients, to budgets that must stretch. The service integrates directly with our airlift and field medical work, so a resupply mission and a casualty-movement capability can share the same aircraft, planning and crews.
Typical clients: disaster-management agencies, humanitarian organisations, and government forces sustaining remote deployments.
